Completing Stage 1

Brethren,

We are now moving ever closer to a start-up, I thank the brethren and our masonic building management teams for their great support during this very important process.

Soon we will have our buildings prepared and I understand that many of our Masonic Centres have completed Stage 1 and, as COVID Safe premises, they are now welcoming their non-masonic tenants back into their buildings.

Your quick response in preparing our buildings represents a great step forward, I congratulate all those that have already prepared their Masonic Centres and I encourage those building management teams that are yet to submit their Stage 1 documentation to please have it into the Grand Secretary ASAP and remember, if you do require assistance, your DGIW, RGC and the Grand Master's Task Team are always here to help.

I am hoping that over the next week or so we can get all Masonic Centres registered COVID Safe enabling us to issue all lodges with their Stage 2 documentation.

Thanks to the great work being done by our building owners I am confident that Stage 2 will be a very easy process for each lodge to complete and I am really looking forward to seeing us back to our masonic business real soon.

Canoblas Lewis

Lodge Canoblas Lewis hosted a Zoom meeting last Monday, 13 July.

The editor of the Freemason magazine, RW Bro Richard Dawes, was the guest speaker and provided an intriguing insight into what happens behind the scenes to get the quarterly publication to you. The challenges, time frames, and expertise hidden from most to produce this publication was indeed eye opening.

STAGE 1 - PREPARE THE BUILDING

All Masonic Centres are required to register as a COVID Safe business and prepare the building in accordance with steps that will be provided to them by the Grand Secretary.

NOTE: Once all buildings have been prepared we can then move on to Stage 2.

STAGE 2 - PREPARE YOUR LODGE

Once ALL Masonic Centres have completed Stage 1 it will then be necessary for each lodge to prepare their meeting place (lodge room) in accordance with further steps provided to them by the Grand Secretary.

NOTE: When ALL lodges have completed Stage 2 and following further directions from the Government Health Authorities we can then move on to Stage 3.

STAGE 3 - RETURN TO LODGE

Once ALL lodges have completed Stage 2 requirements and after ensuring we comply with all regulations directed by the authorities, the Grand Secretary will advise all lodges that they can return to lodge.

NOTE: The Grand Secretary will provide further advice on any meeting restrictions that may apply as a result of further directions from the Government Health Authorities.
