We are all in this together

Brethren,
Last week's Newsletter set out how each Masonic Centre can prepare itself to be registered 'COVID Free'. Since then, a number of Centres have been working through the process, and I can assure you that it does not take long once you set your mind to it.

I note a comment on Facebook where a Lodge in Sydney is asking another Centre which Safety Plan did they use to become 'COVID Safe'. Please be assured that the Step process that was offered to you in last week's Newsletter is the process approved by the office of the NSW Chief Health Officer, and it is the process we must now use. I encourage you all to quickly attend to this.

We are aware that a number of Masonic Buildings have already completed their preparations and are now waiting to move on to Stage 2. Once you have prepared your building, I urge you to please get your Masonic Building checklist, and notification of the required 'COVID Safe' registration, back to the Grand Secretary ASAP.

Once all buildings have completed Stage 1, I am confident that it won't be long before we can safely move on to Stage 2, but I do remind you that we can't move forward until we have all completed the steps in Stage 1.

If you need any advice with regard to the process of building preparation please contact the Chairman of the Board of Management, and if he can't answer the queries, he will have a member of the Grand Master's Task Team contact you with assistance. We are all in this together.

If your building has already been prepared, and you are able to offer some assistance to a neighbouring building in your district, I encourage you to do so.

Let's work together to get this done!

Harden Stage 1 - TICK

In just 3 days, Stage 1 "Preparing the Building" has now been completed at the Harden Masonic Centre.

On Sunday 28 June, 12 brethren got together for a working bee to complete Stage 1. They cleaned, sanitised, swept, vacuumed, mowed, pruned, and prepared their COVID-19 Safety Plan. Their working bee also took the opportunity to have a sausage sizzle and enjoy a long overdue get together while practicing their social distancing skills of course!

Over the past few months, and by way of regular, organised and well publicised Zoom meetings, the brethren of Lodge Federal United have made a concerted effort to deal with lodge business and stay in touch with each other. They are now eagerly awaiting the opportunity to complete Stage 2 and then Stage 3 when meetings in our lodge buildings can resume.

"The safety of the brethren must be paramount"

Social Media Blitz

After a few preliminary tests new social media posts will appear with more frequency. The campaign consists of seven topics and are aimed at non members.

It would be helpful if you shared these posts with all your contacts as often as you can.
